Hi, my name is Denise Gabbard. I am an escaped Buckeye from the Akron-Cleveland area and now live in St. Petersburg, Florida, area about five miles from Madeira Beach, with my forever husband and two sweet yellow Labrador Retrievers, Max and Ruby. My husband, Mark, and I were high school sweethearts and have an ever-growing family; we have three grown "children", and now eight beautiful grandchildren--six, including newborn twins Zachary and Xavier, live in Tennessee, and our  Emma Michelle, and her brother Ethan are in Ohio.

I own a business called Virtually Capable DG Marketing (changed the name to make it easier in late 2014) that I started in late 2007. At the time, I was working for an executive recruiting agency, and found myself spending more time writing marketing ads, cover letters, and resumes than most anything else. Not that I am complaining-- the lack of employers that needed recruiting services, and were willing to pay for them led me directly to the path I am on today.

I have a lengthy background in finance, banking, and credit, as well as management, prior to my recruiting experience. I write about a wide range of topics, many related to my prior experience, but I also enjoy writing about travel, lifestyle, "green" things of all types, and social media, SEO, and technology. I am a research-a-holic and love to dig into new things as well. 

I love working with small businesses and teaching them how to navigate the often confusing internet. Building an online brand is essential in today's instant gratification society-- you have to be where potential customers are looking for you-- and that is online!
